This painting captures a moment of harmony that speaks to my heart. The vibrant pink roses bursting with life are not usually a subject I would have chosen, however they were my mother's favourite flowers and colour and I thought they would look even more striking against the grey brickwork.
I grew these roses in my garden and I had to see if I could capture their beauty before they withered and died as all living things eventually do.
